SUMMARY

Alaska is a truly impressive state for many reasons. There are very few roads, and all of them are incredibly scenic. The extremes in weather provide for an outburst of color and life in both fauna and flora during the warmer months. The long summer days offer opportunities galore to explore glaciers, forests, lakes, rivers, ocean, tundra, permafrost, etc. Wildlife viewings are frequent. It's a paradise for nature lovers (during summer, that is....).
