Australia is a country of extremes:
It is the oldest and driest continent and the largest island, has a population
barely more than greater Los Angeles, and is home to some of the most poisoneous
creatures on earth. We were constantly in awe of its natural beauty and
unfathomable vastness. Most people of Australia welcomed us warmly wherever
we went and we were so impressed with their hospitality and generosity.
Our travels attracted an incredible amount of interest and we were featured
on the radio and in a local newspaper. We visited the four "extremes"
of the continent: the southernmost point (Wilsons Promontory), westernmost
(Steep Point), northernmost (Cape York) and easternmost (Cape Byron); drove
along dramatic coastline, ventured into the Outback, explored the tropics
and dove the largest living organism on earth, the Great Barrier Reef. Our
phenomenal journey surpassed even our highest expectations!
