ARB Rear Bumper

First I had to remove the skid plate since it was in the way and then undo all bolts that hold the bumper. The wires for fog lights and license plate lighting had to be taken off. And I was ready to go...

Swapping the rear bumper should be a pretty easy thing to do...
Usually - but then there is TÜV (German technical inspection agency) that makes things harder as it has to approve any and all modifications for a vehicle to be street legal. For example, since the vehicle came equipped with a rear fog light, there is supposed to be one on the new bumper as well.
Once the rig was freed from the stock plastic, the stock tow point was loosened. ARB recommends to take it off but I figured I'd try it this way first. Then I drilled the required holes and removed the bumper again. I dog-punched and drilled a 10.5mm hole on each side.
Here the loosened tow hook and the drilled hole can be seen.
Then I reused the license plate light and bolted it onto the bumper. Removable plates are prohibited, so I couldn't mount it on the spare tire. So I also decided to reuse the stock fog light and made a template to recess it into the bumper.

Two tabs were welded to the inside of the bumper to allow me to mount the light, and they were painted black to match the bumper.

The hole was also finished with matching paint.
The bumper sits nicely on the rear of the truck and also doesn't hinder the remounting of the skid plate.
