Overhead Switch Panel

When installing the ARB air lockers the switches needed to be located. I ordered a Daystar switch panel. It seemed like a good idea with the switches right in front of the stick shift. But as it turned out the shifter would turn off the switches in first and third gear. Therefore I swapped the panel again for the original one.
I thought about different options and decided on an overhead switch location. I used the Daystar panel and modified it for my use. I trimmed it on the sides and the bottom.
I unscrewed the sun visors and took off the center portion of the top windshield cladding. That's where the panel would be located.
I cut two holes, mainly because I wanted to save and reuse the mounting clip.
This way I could fit the switch panel over the two openings. Note: the wiring needed to be bent slightly to clear the mounting clip cross member. I thought six screws would secure the panel to the cladding solidly and drilled the holes.

After attaching the panel, the switches were wired up and I reinstalled the cladding in the truck. The cladding all around the windshield provides plenty of space for the wiring. The switches sit in comfortable reach right next to the sun visor.
